Pop-up ads
« on: May 04, 2023, 01:30:29 PM »
I have the ad blocker turned off for this site and a few other favorites, since I know they are privately owned and depend on the ads to help with expenses.  It is easy to ignore the ones I don't care about and occasionally I'll click on one if it interests me.  But in recent weeks I've started getting large pop up ads that have to be X'd out to continue.  This is on my Android phone as well as my laptop.  If I turn ad blocker back on using the laptop, I don't get them, but still do on the phone.

I'm curious if any others have noticed this?

We've asked for the pop ups to be removed from the forum section. Should take effect within 3-4 hours.

Thanks Marshall!  Not a big deal, just annoying.

 :) Ah Well  ;)

I do find the Pop-Ups mildly annoying, but se them as a necessary evil to keep this site alive and well.  Without the income generated by advertisers, I fear CAS City would go Dodo.

Quit complaining and be happy we have CAS City!!
