New Adams Revolver
« on: December 25, 2022, 09:12:37 PM »
A Spanish poster on the Colt Forum is saying that a "small company" in Eibar, Spain is making repros that will be available soon. Should be interesting and I am assuming they will be percussion rather than ctg., but there is no more info for now.

Most "butt ugly " revolver I've ever seen!!!  ;D
I've never found a decent looking British revolver  .  .  . Webly's either.

Very cool, in a quirky kind of way.
I wonder if it will ever get to market?
(and if so, at what price?)

I'm still hoping someone will start making a Merwin & Hulbert. (sigh...)

While some say it will never happen, I hold on to hope keeping in mind some of the low production models they actually did come out with.

Some examples...

Root Revolving rifle,
Root .31 pocket revolver,
Starr Double Action,
Starr Single Action,
Whitney  revolver .36
Patterson revolver , with & without loading lever, & the long barreled model,
Smith carbine,
Gallagher carbine,
LeMat,

Eh...I won't hold my breath, way too many dangled carrots announced in the past.

Merwin Hulbert, USFA Remington, Halls Carbine, Evens Carbine even the Spencer "debacle"  ::)

as an aside, I even met a guy that was manufacturing a hand built a custom " Excalibur"
Car, I saw the partial built prototype.
This was his gig, build the prototype, get as many orders as possible & money up front then he took a powder.

Won't surprise me if it fades like the proverbial fart in the wind.

The Adams isn't the most attractive revolver, but I understand it is a good gun. I realize beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I have a Brit cap gun that is as sleek and good lookin' as they come. It is an H. Holland, .44 cal single action with a reciprocating gas seal action. I admit, while sometime quirky by New World standards I have a weakness for English designed stuff.  Jw

Thanks Deacon. It caught my eye, and the seller was motivated because it wasn't a Colt. It fits a small percussion cap, which is problematic and by the looks of the rammer was made for a conical of some sort. It shoots ok with a .454 round ball.  Jw

I managed to acquire a Root revolving rifle, pistol, Whitney, Paterson, and a 1842 Hall’s carbine from Ordnance Park.
