I have some one wanting to buy a pair of old vaquero grip frames from me. He wants to put them on a new vaquero. Is this possible.?

Yes it can be done.  It does require some smithing and fitting.  Not necessarily a "bolt on."

If your potential buyer decides it's too much work, let me know, I'd be interested in buying one to replace one on an old model Vaquero that currently has a birds head grip. I've convinced myself this may be cheaper than buying another pistol.  8)

Sure, it will fit.
I have swapped several around.
I once found a grip frame that had a hole that was not perfectly drilled to line up with the tapped hole on the receiver.
And the biggest pain in the ass (to me) is that you will almost assuredly have to polish the grip frame of receiver to make sure there are no sharp edges.
