Nice collection, Scout! I'm kind of fond of the small frame break tops with longer than 3" barrels.

Upper right here is a second model S&W .38 single action that I spied on gunbroker for a ridiculously low price. This was another case of "If it's gonna go that cheap, I'll buy the dam thing!" Bid it up to $55 and won it. Sharp bore and tight action-it shoots great!

Colonel Niederlander had a beautiful example of one of these, but I am missing it in his current crop of Smith & Wessons!

Charles, I ended up selling it because it was really too nice to shoot, and I shoot everything I have.  I didn't want to be shooting it and seeing a big piece of nickel fall off the cylinder, as sometimes happens.  I replaced it with a lemon squeezer.  I'd like to find one of the single actions in blue with wood grips, but you don't see those very often.  By the way, you're right, they're great shooters!

Charles, you should consider a job as a "Personal gun shopper". I think you could sell anything you bought for double, and it would still be a good price!

Yes, then they bring happiness! I have some guns that are too nice to shoot-I call them "For Sale"! :D

A lot of it, yes. I almost always tell what I paid for guns because it's educational and part of the story. And I like gun stories!

For things that aren't a real necessity, I  just go by the rule of "Don't pay what anything is worth, because someone, somewhere, is selling one for less than it's worth!" :D
