That fireball looks huge.  Never realized while shooting my 1860 clone that it was throwing sparks that much.  Wow.

Side note, the Luger video is also pretty cool too.  Always interesting seeing how they operate.

Cool!  I was practicing capping my 1858's and rather than remove the caps, I just fired them off in the back yard.
It was dusk, and gave quite a light show!

It was interesting that all the flash at the back of the revolver was from the cap and not the cylinder/barrel gap.

Yep!  Multiples are most always caused by cap flash and loose caps, the front of the cylinder has almost nothing to do with it.

Ha Ha! That was cool!

Well it's a good thing that a "European master with BP revolvers" wrote a book to give us a much needed education on these mysterious revolving breech pistols. ;D

Yes Colonel,  but I still seal the charges with lube-I love my Colts too much not too!

I love it when I see idiots on TV or YouTube shooting Flint-Lock and Cap and Ball rifles without safety glasses! YIKES!

In this viseo it is no wonder caps get blown off and jam up the action. Lots of back pressure there....

I knew a guy that fired his off at dusk, and gave it away shortly after due to seeing the fireball that was actually surrounding his hand.... Poor guy.

You should have let him fire your snub nosed Walker with a full charge-he wouldn't think his pistol sparked too badly after that experience!
