 Just run 45/90 cases in the 40-82 size die load and fireform
Eat more beef the west wasn't won on a salad.

Ok! I have hundreds of brand new 45 90 a nd a set of 40 82 dies. I'll try it today. I have never had to reform to another caliber so this should be an interesting day.

Ok, tried it. WOW! Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Efortless.  The case does grow a bit so I'll have to figure out how to trim it.

 Lyman or RCBS case trimmer with a 40 caliber pilot. Or if you can figure out the exact length a Lee 45-70 case trimmer  chucked up in a a drill press and trim those cases to length then do the fireforming, but using that method you might end up burning a few cases before you get the length right.

I ordered a 45 70 shell holder for my Wilson trimmer and it looks like it's going to work well. Also ordered a "power adapter" so I don't have to crank that handle forever. May be this after noon's project. Heck, I don't even pick the gun up till tomorrow! :P
