Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are ready.

Major 2, you could send some of that rain this way.

'Tis 56 and partly cloudy. "Very warm. Mostly sunny in the morning  then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 80s. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent."

Okay, here's Bootstrap Richard shooting Cody-Dixon at the SASS Texas State Championship.  They usually shoot 6 rifle shots but only 5 on this stage since there were 6 shotgun targets.

Nice job. I have been wanting to make a rough out holster of some type. Just haven’t yet.

He had a good career, he said
"  I don't think I'll ever be any more than a personality, but that's alright with me."

The Duke cast a HUGE shadow, though he did bask in a portion of it....
He had a few rolls beyond helmed by family friend director John Ford.
The Long Gray Line, Mister Roberts, and some others without his father's name above the title credits.
He went out on his own to star in his own film, the second-string oater The Young Land.

Though He realized he was not quite ready to carry his own film, he returned to the family fold.
A few exceptions included a role in Ford's sprawling epic Cheyenne Autumn, his turn as James Stewart's son in the Civil War film Shenandoah.

Wow, Abilene!  That video brought back a lot of memories!

I am saddened to hear this. I hope he had a decent life of his own; big stars' kids rarely do, it seems.

Are you a collector looking for original ammo?
