Glad to help, Bitterwheat. One thing that I forgot to mention is that I also have a can of Barge thinner. That comes in handy when you need to get the glue to really penetrate because it can be thinned somewhat for better penetration. Also, if you don't use it all up in a reasonable amount of time, the glue will eventually thicken and can be brought right back to the original consistency by adding thinner. The same supplier may have it, too.
FWIW, years ago a friend's wallet came apart at the spine where it was sewn. I glued it with Barge cement, hammering it good to set it. Ten years later, he showed me that he still carried the same wallet. Eventually he replaced it with a new one but the glue was still holding fast.
