Title: Battlefields reports 1776 & 1876
Post by: Trailrider on June 18, 2015, 11:41:49 AM
18 June - Yesterday, I thought I heard the ghostly sound of musket fire coming from the vicinity of Breed's Hill, Boston, and also the sound of rifle and pistol fire from Rosebud Creek, MT.

And today, echos of thunder from Belgium, 1815 . . .

So true! My hearing has deteriorated. Couldn't quite make it out over the background of the other two!

My hearing is gone too.
Not just because of shooting either. Although I can't say shooting has helped my hearing problem over the years.
Some female voices are very hard for me to understand especially over the phone. Something more to due with the tonal quality of the speech of the individual.
My best,
 Blair

Well, my wife wants me to get a modern hearing aid. Sometimes it's convenient not to be able to hear her!  ::)  OTOH, so far as the gunfire I was "hearing" is concerned, it is more callender-based. BTW, Drydock, was that one in the vicinity of Waterloo? (NOT, Iowa!  :P )

Just south of there, on a little ridge called Mont St Jean.
