What Drydock says. But I've actually never lubed a BP pistol bullet. I've always squirted a blob of butter flavored Crisco over the first two rounds on the left side of the loaded cylinder. Never a fouling issue in 22 years. I only use (soft) lubed bullets for rifle rounds.
And I thought I was the only one that used butter flavored Crisco.
