Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are ready.

Sprinkles earlier, but not enough to settle the dust.

'Tis 56 and overcast. "Not as warm. Partly sunny. Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Highs in the middle 70s. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph."

I agree but why not get the Colt Gold Cup 70 Series while you are at it? Very reliable and worth the extra few bucks.

But the Gold Cup series is not legal for wild bunch as far as i can tell :)

I've bought from Optics Planet and didn't have any problems but careful about them because they have a tendency to make it look like things are available. Example it is asking you to add the 32-20 to the cart but saying it will ship in 4-6 weeks. I wouldn't even trust to see it ship in 4-6 months

Primers are available in all sizes at your local Bass Pro or Cabelas. I had to quit buying them as I am pretty sure I have a lifetime supply. With tax they are around $77 / 1000.

They have jacked the price up to 94 / 1000 at the Louisville Cabelas. I hope nobody buys them for that price.

Personally I see nothing wrong (and everything to like) with the current Colt Series 70
the GovtClassic is still around $1k

as the other gents pointed out, most of the other major players putouta really fine 1911.

My personal opinion is that Standard Manufacturing is long on hype and short on value-for-price

The Winchester Model 1876 / Re: I think all you guys must have croaked

No! I have not croaked!  How ever I have been reading the notes that all have been sending.  One bit of news I just got done reading has got my dander sort of up. As yuo probably know, I have and shoot a 45-75.  I have used 348 brass for years and also 50-90 Sharps brass. But, the bestest was when it was up for grabs was Jamison.  Now I read where 45-60 and 50-95 ammo is being made available.  Noe I cannot fault those who have these rifles BUT how about those of us who have rifles in say the 45-75, 40-82  and 33 calibers? HMMMMM! Something to think about!  Just food for thought!  LarryO1

Google tells us it is a legitimate company but with horrible reviews, listing stuff as in stock that isn't, refusing to refund, terrible customer service, etc.  They also show 44-40 brass in stock.  I would totally avoid them.

Yep looks pretty sketchy. They don't appear to stock anything. Just take your money and order some from another company.
