Yes, that is probably what is going to happen....I sent an email to Taylor's, asking if they will sell me a replacement barrel for the "drifter". Simple, yes? If not, your plan is up next.Heck yes, that would be perfect. If it is in stock. But that is quite iffy.
Quote from: pony express on April 15, 2025, 07:26:57 AMJohnny-try going on Ebay and look for replacement parts there. A few years ago, the insurance company considered our 15 year old Trailblazer totaled after my wife hit a deer. We took the cash value, and used the money to get a bumper, grill d headlights off of Ebay, ordered some matching rattle cans online, and put it together myself. Doesn't look perfect, fenders are bent still a little like yours, and the front of the hood had a bit of damage, but the bug deflector covers that up. Fender metal is pretty thin on modern cars, you can probably bend that corner back close to original shape. Just be sure to look for free shipping when looking for those plastic bumper covers.Thank you. I Never thought of that. That's a great idea. I may be able to bend the fender out but I can live with the fender the way it is. Years ago, a body shop would have repaired the fender, rather than replace it. We've become a "replacement" society.
