I had a guy ask me if I could make him a holster for his 5.5" 1851 RM Conversion in .38spl. He said he wanted a plain and very simple slim jim design that would work with his regular 1.5" every day belt. He also wanted an ammo holder that would work with the same belt.
Here is the final product just before heading his way. We went with a Walnut color.

Looks good, Rube. Simple. Clean. Useful. Great shade of brown, too.

Rube, it looks great. Great color. My favorite holster style.
How did you dye it, dip, airbrush, swabs?
Did you dilute the dye or use full strength?
I did a test with Walnut on W&C and it came out almost black.
Thanks in advance.

This is the pro dye so not matter how many coats it dries about the same color. This is full power and was applied with a large dobber. For a while I was dip dying but it uses so much dye. Now I’d like to experiment with cutting it some.
