Congrats to Pitspitr and the Door Prize Committee for this Year's Muster. If you can work it into your schedule, come join us for the shooting, the food, the comradeship, and being able to live in an authentic barracks.

Dixie Gun works has stepped in.

Anyone else on the Commitee have any sponsors to report?

A big CASH sponsor would be nice.

Got the two shadowboxes back from the Framer and was very pleased. Added two snapshots of them to the post in here where I told about them.

(Again, forgive the reflection of myself and the equipment, in real life they are very nice looking. :-[)

I reckon Bow View and I have the logistics of transporting the prize firearms to Ft Hartsuff figured out now.  I'm just waiting for the FFL there to contact me.
Alas, Calamity JoAnne and I cannot attend this year due to my military committments.  But the prize guns WILL be there.

Received a LARGE box of goodies from Oklahoma Leather/Don Hume products from THE TRUCK today and was highly impressed. Waiting for another shipment of bullets to arrive.

Still think it would be great if all coming would bring something of personal value to add to the pot. This would not only enlarge things but make the banquet much more meaningful.

God Bless, shoot safe and see Y'all at Hartsuff in beauteefull Nebrasky in Autumn.

Capt. Little .....

In addition to the items I mentioned in an earlier private message, I have acquired another which I think would be a desirable acquisition for most Muster attendees - "U.S. Army - A Complete History", published by The Army Historical Foundation.  Just bought it this past weekend to go through for myself and then donate to the prize table.

Quite a tome, I must say - 744 pages and seems to weigh about ten pounds or so!  Chock full of excellent illustrations, it starts off in 1775 (of course) and runs through to 31 December 2004 .......

I have 2 books for the pile:

-Indian, Soldier and Settler, by Robert M. Utley.  Many period photographs and illustrations.

-War-Path and Bivouac, the Big Horn and Yellowstone expedition,  by John F. Finerty.  University of Nebraska Press  1970.  Original publication in 1955.

In addition I have a few Harpers Weekly illustrations of the Spanish American War,  Naval scenes, the capture of Guam, an ariel view of Camp Agar  just out side of Washington DC.
Civilize them with a Krag . . .
