Title: A request to USFA
Post by: RRio on September 07, 2005, 02:11:36 PM
Hey USFA!

How about coming out with a set of the hard rubber grips with some sort of eagles at the butt. I understand why the old ones were dropped, but can't you come up with some other configuration of the eagle? The US grips are just too plain.
 Cimarron did.

I second the request as the eagle on the grip would look great with the "US" logo.

Why did they drop the old one?  Patent problems with horsey corporation?  I'd have thought the trademark would expire after a hundred years...

I prefer a one piece walnut anyway.  I'd like to see them back away from the decision to have the hammer case optional (though at least it IS optional).  Seems kind of petty to make me request to have the whole gun be top notch.  Oh well..  don't want to hijack the thread.

I agree, they are too plain without the eagle.  They put the shots on their web-site, they should ship them with the eagles.

Rawhide Rio

Yup they sure would be good looking grips ;D

If they came as one peice grips or have the option to make either one peice by including a spacer and putting the drill hole on the inside for those that want two peice grips.

I might end up with several pair to decorate my stable of Rodeos.

Tru ivory? sign me up for a couple of pair today ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Been thinkin' that very thing, myself. But I probably get something else with those TruIvory grips ...   ... a couple of knuckle knots on my head from Mama!  ;D

How about hard rubber and Ivory/Ivory Substitute?  What a choice that would be!  Gosh, I sure hope they decide to make them atleast as an option.  I verbally expressed this to them on the phone the other day.
