Rain coming, radar shows it about 40 minutes away.... it reaches' out into the gulf so I expect it will rain most of the afternoon,
That will be both good for the grass and keep the heat down  :)

Not going anywhere anyway, so bring it on

Well the weatherpeoples have still been lying to us. Still running upper 90s and really stinkin humid. Thunderstorms supposed to run in later this afternoon. We are getting the Casa ready for a birthday party tonight, so lots of family will be here. Man, I hope that the Cardinals can figure out how to quit giving games away.

85 and party cloudy, another line of rain (about 1 hour this morning) is headed over in about 30 minutes,
I can hear the thunder off to the west, so I got out of the pool.
Good thing too, if'n I stayed in any longer I'd have to change my name to BOB !

SHE, its going to lunch with the kid tomorrow, her Birthday is coming up and it's on a middle weekday.
She is a veterinarian and is at the Animal Hospital.
It's a girls' day shopping, mooning etc.... I'd be a anchor to tag along.
I plan to shoot...

"I hung the Battle Axe !"...
Perhaps a poor choice of words, if there any Karens within earshot ;D

But then again, I don't know If I don't know, or I don't care!
  No, I'm sure I don't care!

Shot my 1911 & 1917, then it got hot, so I wrapped it up.
 Expecting 94 degrees

Good day at Church today, then a nap once home. Caught the end of the Cards game, they actually won a couple. Hopefully the seconds half of the season will improve. Gonna attack an 1866 Uberti that has been a pain this afternoon, got some advice yesterday on what I was missing.
I was really bad one day this week at work. Some folks came into our little gun/fishing store, tourists. A nice family who had a bratty teenage girl with their family. Well she got all Kareny over the mounted animals we have up all over the shop and started getting kind of rude and self-righteous, so I decided to have a little fun. I told her that all of the animals taken were legal and that the only one that had ever been on the protected species list was a jackelope that was taken before that ruling. Then she really got hot, so I pointed out a whitetail mount with an atypical rack as the jackelope. She took several pictures and was going to post them on tiktok and Instagram to shame us for displaying this endangered poor animal. The Dad with them was working really hard to keep a straight face.
I know, I was bad.

Evening Y'all,'m back from the Pa match,It was hot and humid, temps in high 80's. I shot all 10 stages clean, but got a "P" on my last stage because a target on the Texas Star I knocked the first 4 off no problem, then hit the 5th with a solid center hit,It moved so I went to the dump target to fire the remaining ammo. I had just pulled the trigger when the RO says, It didn't fall. I hit it again and it fell, but too late I earned a "P". There were only 3 clean shooters out of 100.I wasn't happy. Come to fine out, the club uses that target for the Action shooters and it has the heavy springs in it,They never checked the calibration on it. Other than that it was a good weekend. How was yours?

I can sympathize with you Major. Several years ago at the NCOWS Midwest Regionals I had a clean shoot going until the second last stage. I messed up a sweep and got a P. I was thinking more about shooting a clean match instead of focusing on the business at hand.

Howdy folks.  Tis 69 degrees going on 89 here in Northeast Nebraska.  Supposed to be a slight chance of rain this evening, but it's summertime in Nebraska, so who knows.

I'm new to this watering hole, although I've been haunting the SASS Wire for about a decade and recognize a couple names.  I don't expect to be here regularly or anything, but this seemed like a good time to say howdy.

As the King of the Cowboys once said, happy trails, and until we meet again, may the good Lord take a likin' to ya.
