Hey Pard , take a look at  ( GRAINGER  ) look at steel tubing , they offer three  wall thickness sizes in the 3/4 tubing . I have used it before for an original 76 replacement with very little polishing inside and out . ,,,,,DT

Hi All,
Made turkey stock at Christmas for some cornbread stuffing and opted to stash the wing bones.   Had done some research and found out that wing bone calls had been made by natives at least back to 2000 B.C.   I pulled the bones out and trimmed the ends and reboiled them to get out the marrow, then let them dry.   Used a mixture of hide glue and sawdust to seal the joints (in full disclosure, a drop of krazy glue held them in place because I did not have the patience to hold them).   When dry used Elk sinew and more hide glue around the joints.    I am not a turkey hunter and not a pheasant plucker (but pretty sure I saw my dad pluck one or two), but I have a friend who gives me morels who hunts and a brother in law who gives me the wild turkey legs and thighs, so these are gifts.

Pretty much anything that was going get blown away had already been blown away here. As of Saturday morning the structures on the hill were ok, though the bathtub tank was a couple hundred yards toward the 600yd target
The school had part of the steel roof on a bus barn get pulled loose.

>just goes to show its never safe to assume stuff - I eyeballed these from ten feet and thought they all same

I did as well.  I have Browning '86 tubes.  But foolishly gave away my '76 short mag tube that I could have used.  Surprised me the '86 tube wouldn't work as I am using cut down 45-70 brass.

I'll keep looking for that curtain rod.

Is the "Home maker" store an actual chain store?  I tried Lowes, no go.  Home Depot is next.

nah we have "Spotlight " downunder (woulda called it haberdashery store in the old days I think) ..sewing stuff , all kinds of cloth, curtain material, soft furnishings, crafty supplies ....  first place we go look for cloth patching material for the front loader guns.

I second that! I doubt they knew or cared if they were buying a carbine, they just knew they wanted a winchester in 44.

I like the factory sights on my new Uberti.  A blade front with a buckhorn sight that's plain ole black with no adjustments or white diamond.  I've been busy, but I might try an Uberti front sight on the Rossi also.

Evening all.

65 degrees and windy here in great falls. Not bad weather.

Mrs TK came up to visit over the weekend, so we did some fun things around town. Saw Buffalo Jump park, which was neat. Lots of interesting history. She is now making the journey home, accompanied by our furry companion.
