Here are my three USFA's. Very top is my Turnbull USFA in 45 Colt, the one just under the 73 is my 45 Colt USFA, and the bottom with the factory black US grips is my 45Colt/45ACP USFA. This photo was taken about a year or so ago and I have since replaced the hard rubber factory grips on my 45Colt/45ACP gun with custom stag grips, moved the custom stag grips from the USFA 45 Colt to the Turnbull USFA, as the ones on it did not fit exactly right, and put a one piece Faux Ivory on the USFA 45 Colt. Now that is probably all as clear as mud.

Beautiful grips, Buck!  I have a nickel plated, 5 & 1/2" USFA that I put stag grips on.  I call  it my "B western" gun.  Got the grips from elenhunting.com and they did a beautiful job of fitting them.

Capt. John, The custom grips on the USFA are made by William Jennings. I thought he had a website but I have not been able to find it. My most recent set that I acquired for one of my USFA's are by Sack Peterson and he does have a website. Here is a picture of my current stable of USFA's. The one just above the Sheriff's model has the Sack Peterson grips and the one on top is my Trunbull with the W. Jennings grips. The fauk Ivory grips I did myself from a kit I purchased and the ones on the Sheriff model are factory stag. That is the gun I just recently purchased. I have acquired these over several years and from the rumors that are going around about USFA's future I plan on keeping them for a long time to come.

Mr. Peterson, I did a modify and put up a photo of the gun that has your grips on it. They are great, and once more I didn't have to send you any parts to get a terrific fit! Thanks!

although i've posted my favorite USFA before, i figured it also needed to be in the Pictures Pages stickie, so here you go:

i carry it in a custom Milt Sparks HSR basketweave holster with matching belt, loaded it with 265 gr Cast Performance WFNGC on top of 8.5 unique.

USFA Storekeeper 45 Colt 3.5”
with birdshead (Bisley-style) hammer, cammed ejector, in CH & Dome blue

I got one about two months ago from Gunbroker
Mine's 45 in Nickel , BP frame & SAA hammer & one piece walnut grips
I like the 3 1/2 " length

USFA 38 Spl. Grips by Outlaw Grips in Az. Outstanding work. You must send him the gun for a perfect fit. About $150 depending on wood. Good honest guy and an outstanding craftsman.

12/22. More Outlaw grips in burl maple.

I've seen his work before.  He really does a beautiful job.  Does he need the whole gun or just the grip frame?

You have to send him the gun. He's a perfectionist. Just the kind of guy I like working on my guns.
