What series would you like to see?

I’ve been thinking, if someone were to do a miniseries in the style of Band of Brothers (following a group of people over a period of time), what story or group from the old west do you think would be the most interesting?

The Donner Party would make a good story.

I think a series about the Arizona Rangers in the early 1900's would be pretty good. Another one I would like to see would be a series about the Apache scouts, centered around Mickey Free.

I agree!  There is a lot of great material there.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a better representation of the Buffalo Soldiers.

One my heroes from the Old West is Jeff Milton. He started as a Texas Ranger about 1880 when he lied about his age to get in. He was a deputy sheriff in Texas & New Mexico, a Range Detective, Chief of Police in El Paso (where he faced down John Westley Harden), a Pullman Conductor, and Express Guard for the railroad, and ended his carrier as a Customs Line Rider on the Arizona Border. And he served that last role with only one good arm. The other one was shattered in an attempted robbery of an express car.

His life story would make a great mini series and it would make a lot of so called "western heroes" look like pikers and also rans.

Dave
