Hello all, can't really say it's a good day now as I heard that a young man named Charlie Kirk was assassinated today while speaking on a college campus. 31 years old and leaves a wife and kids. Gotta admit I am tired of this kind of stuff. Prayers up for his family.

9/11...When I went on duty put a rifle and extra clothes in the cruiser.

Today was a much better day, it's up to 92 here but LadyC and I went to the White County Fair today as our g'niece Emma was showing some of her goats. She got a Second and Third place award, so she will get to go to State and show and compete there next month. For those of you who have never been to a Fair, go sometime and watch the livestock showing, the kids are wonderful.

I totally agree.

Good evening folks, worked today, will be pulling more hours as now the store owner will be starting his training at the local PD. Slim, sounds like you had good couple days, glad to hear it. My Niece in Law had to be taken to the hospital today for a ruptured appendix. They got it out but she will be in the hospital until at least Monday. Picked up a really sad little S&W 38 mud puppy today, it needs even more love than most.

Howdy all, hit 96 here today so Summer is not giving up it's grip on Arkansas.
Slim, thanks for the prayers. Busy day at work, glad there were three of us there today. Looks like I will be working almost all the Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays the rest of the year...maybe [that's gonna be my call]. Got my Sunday School lesson ready for tomorrow and waiting for a late starting football game to end so I can see my Cardinals play the Brewers.

Made boiled foot for supper Friday, not that good, don't recommend it. :P  Bail came loose on the new 8" and dumped about a quart of boiling water on it.  Matt took me to ER got pain meds and antibiotics and such.

Yes, it hurt. No, I was not wearing shoes.  ::)

I'm just about positive that you're supposed to cook the food, not the other way around. ::)

Evening all,

Currently on the Garnet Fire outside of Fresno, CA. Not much going on, mostly digging up burning stumps and making them into not burning stumps.

Another "teaser" rain shower last night Probably measured in the hundredths of an inch. Things getting crispy here, the rocks and clay we call soil around here don't store much water. Old timers saying is "you're never more than 2 weeks away from a drought"

Del, don't do that!
TK be careful.
Rain today that made it muggy, still gonna be in the 90s, just wet now. Oil change tomorrow, then try to put the new mainspring in my latest mudpuppy S&W. Got bids in on a new barrel and cylinder for the little beast.

Going into Lincoln to my Dr office walk-in. A little better looking but still hurts like hell. Out of pain meds and antibiotics. Friday night ERs are stingy about pain meds and with allergies and heart meds my Dr, the Er Dr, heart Dr all agree the ones with the C stuff are best. But due to the so-called war on Drugs they limit these to the people who really need them, and the others have switched to Fentanyl. ::)

Greetings from the Garnet fire.

Not much to report. Been slow. I've taken up carving forest creatures out of old sticks to pass the time. So far I've made a bear, a trout and a beaver. The results indicate that I should not give up my day job ::)
