Been a bit busy of late. Had some lightning storms come through, and ended up with ~70 fires across the forest, during a time when 2 of our 6 engines were either gone on off-forest assignments or unstaffed because of personnel issues. We lost 2 people off our engine in that time, one going to a different engine (he took a promotion, which was planned) and the other just called Monday and quit. Good times.
 In other news, I got a raise myself starting today. Now I'm $1.27 less poor per hour

HR was up some yesterday, ok today, up one of the meds we are adjusting. Was 104 when I got up yesterday and before coffee or taking the dog out.  Just checked and it's 78 after putting a pizza in the oven, taking a couple loads of laundry-to-laundry room, checking mail and taking pizza out.  We may run into Neb City or Lincoln after dark and hit a Wally.  Low on cheese and a couple other things.  Cheese can be pricey in small towns for some reason; I try to buy that bulk at Wally or Costco.  Still buy a lot of my regular groceries in T Town or at the local lockers.

The pizza. Mushroom, pepperoni and anchovies with 3 kinds of Italian type cheese. Self-rising flour crust.  Takes about 10 minutes to put together and only dirties the cast and mixing bowl.  Store bought Hunts sauce.  I can do better with yeast but takes time.  Only takes a few minutes longer than frozen and the same as Jean's and much better. 15 inch skillet.

Where is everyone? seems like all Y'all disappeared.

Been busy with work and applying for a different job.  Not that I don't like mine (I do), but it would be a step up in life and good for my family.
