Is your '92 a .45 Colt?

I just bought some Trail Boss yesterday. I have a Rossi '92 chambered in .44 WCF (.44-40). Six grains seems to be an accurate load, but I am still experimenting.

7.0 of Trail Boss with a 200 grain .428 Missouri Bullet Co. slug is my go-to load.  Had to play with the length a tad for the Rossi.

TL,

With the bullet mentioned, I assume your carbine is a .44-40, right?

I am using my cast bullets for the load I mentioned above (the bullet is the Mav Dutchman Big Lube).

When working up the load, I used information posted on Hodgdon's site.  I figured the data that they used was on the conservative side.

Okay, I just picked up a Rossi 92 in .45 Colt and am gonna start trying Trail Boss in it. Using a 250 grain cast rn. Have any of you had a load that seemed really good so far? Thanks
