I have a new Pietta Remington NMA. The cocking force takes a full hand to cock, no thumb cocking? Is this normal on a NMA?

I would take off the grip and look to see if the main spring is binding at the top? I'm not sure if the Remington style can do that like the Colt can. Also, does it have a strain screw on the front of the triggerguard, and is that backed out?
