Heavy Henry trigger
« on: January 31, 2005, 05:00:20 PM »
How do I lighten the trigger on my 1860 Henry? My wife was trying to shoot my new Henry yesterday and quit after two rounds because she could no longer pull the trigger. I will admit it is very heavy. I have not measured it but it is probably in the 8-10 lbs range. Any tips would be great. Thanks.

Slim,
You really need to have Trigger/sear work done. This is not for the inexperienced. Do you have a smith locally?

The shop I bought it from does smithing, but he is swamped. He has two of my shotguns that need work on. I'll take in it when he gets  a bit more caught up.
