Finally watched a couple of the series.

Mike Hawkridge is a "neighbour", which is Cariboo-speak for anyone who lives within 10-15 kms.

A few of my CAS pals are working ranchers. You can spot them from across the corral. They're the ones with the beat up hats and horse sh!t on their boots.

I figured you would be interested. I like you comment about real ranchers.

Odd thing about the "real'' Cowboys" .....

They all seem to shoot .44s and .45s. They aren't the fastest but you don't want any of them shooting at you for real.

One of ours shoots"Gunfighter" with .45 7-1/2" SAAs and a 56-50 Spencer repro his wife ordered direct from Italy when she couldn't find one this side of the ocean.

They told her they didn't sell retail so she asked to speak to the boss and pled her case. It was for their umpteenth anniversary. He was so touched by her story that he made it happen.

Dirty Dick asked me how many wild horses there were in British Columbia. I had to look it up;

The answer is, about 1,000. This article also has some background on wild horses located in various areas around Canada

I belong to WHOA, Wild Horses of Alberta.  There are several wild horses west of Sundre and Rocky Mountain House.  WHOA is dedicated to preserving them.
