What happened to Guns of the Old West Magazine?
« on: November 27, 2018, 08:32:36 PM »
Haven't seen it on the shelf except maybe earlier this year.  Usually I'd see it on the magazine racks of grocery stores every month or two.   Did it get discontinued?

I believe it’s still being published. About the only place I see it anymore is at the magazine rack in the book store.

Just got the latest Winter 2019 issue about 2 weeks ago via mail .... Gun related of all kinds is no longer ordered by a great many news & sundried vendors.
The Liberals &  grabbers long tentacles of self rightest and anti's continues its purge. Just easier for news stands & rack vendors to avoid the hassle of what was low volume venue for most of them anyway.

To insure you get it best subscribe....

I'll say "Ditto!" to Major 2's comments. Subscriptions will help sustain its publication.

I haven’t seen it in our Super 1 Grocery store (chain owned by Brookshires) all year (2018).

I bought the latest issue at a Walmart Neighborhood Market. It has 9 pages inside that are un-readable. Some disaster happened in the printing process and nobody caught it. I tried to take it back but didn't have a receit so I'm out of luck. Was gonna subscribe but after seeing that issue I'm not so sure.

AH, Instead of bugging Wally World (they are not real sympathetic) I bet if you called the publisher they'd front you a brandy knew issue you could read (ya can read ... right} and probably freebies.

PS:  A personal thought, might could have done that before applying the bad mouth on a public forum.

PSS:  Every manufacture of everything has an occasional oops.  YOU just got lucky enough to get an oops from GOTOW!!

Hey, that issue is now a collector's item!  I mean, it works that way when the gummint makes a mistake minting coins, so...

Coffinmaker,

You seem to consistently misread my posts on this forum. I didn't "bad mouth" anyone, either the publisher or Walmart. All I said was there was some kind of error in the printing process than no one caught, and I tossed the receit from Walmart so I couldn't return it.

I didn't say the magazine or the publisher was terrible, awful, or anything else negative. Man, give me a break!

My Wal Mart does not require a receipt.  I don't know how they stay in business.  I just give them the return and show my drivers license for my money.
