Made it through the surgery on my sinuses just fine!  Had my first post op exam and was told my ENT would release me for the implants now pending a review in 3 weeks.  But at least I can get on his schedule right now!
I’m starting to savor the taste of steak already :o :o

28 here, not sure what was going on last night about Midnite, Staters, Sherriff, Cops and who knows what else, helly copter.  Listened to the scanner, didn't get much but murder suspect.  Truck driver friend weth through earlier said they were a bunch waiting for something on I-80, got two on the loose from Kearney.

Got up to 61 today and real purty out. Did some work on a 44-40 Uberti that it seemed to appreciate. Gonna hit the range tomorrow and make sure. Liftin' my coffee cup to you!

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are hot.

2" of white overnight.

'Tis 5 and light flurries. "Cloudy with light snow in the morning  then partly sunny in the afternoon. Snow accumulation up to 1 inch. Highs in the upper teens. North wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 90 percent."

Yesterday was gray & gloomy all day, temps never got to 55°
But today, it's clear and 39° should see 60°.

I did get out and shoot the new to me Zastava M57. I have no Tokarev ammo, but I do load
C96 Mauser and also have some PPU & Fiocchi 7.63 Mauser factory rounds.
These are not as hot as the Tokarev, thought cycle the M57 just fine.
At 2 lbs. there not much felt recoil at all, and the trigger is surprisingly good for surplus military gun.
This is in fact military, not one of the current made Zastava Arms M57A's.
it also has the 1911 style external safety, rather than the slide mounted of the M57A.

When it warms up a tad, I'll Chrono my rounds.

Thanks Major!
Interestingly the 7.62 Tokarev cartridge has a large following with Chinese gangsters, as the
Hot rounds penetrate more than 2 55 gal drums filled with water.... And the gangsters seem to think
It will penetrate chicom police body armor.

Morning all.

Currently 25. We got a total of about 4” of fresh white stuff yesterday and through the night. Supposed to be marginally sunny today.

Good morning folks! 41 here right now with falling temps. A flannel shirt and good coffee are the order of this morning. Coffee's on and I'm on my way to have lunch with my Pastor.

Gray & gloomy again today and 46 degrees, drizzle started about 11AM and continues.
Broke out my flannel night shirt & a pair of sweats, the first time in two years.
Tomorrow is forecast to be more of the same...later, on the weekend we'll with see low 30's.

Working tomorrow at the Museum, Days like we are seeing brings the snowbirds to inside activities.

Based on my experimenting with hot loaded 32 mags I would say very likely on older type vests.

"Wolf Gold FMJ tops out at 1,720 feet per second (520 m/s) with 745 joules (549 ft⋅lbf) of energy, as does PPU ammunition.)  Source Wiki.

I know my 124 gr fngc at 1250 will beat a 44 mag 240 grain for penetration in clay, wood and car bodies including safety glass.

Slim, it worked, thanks, pretty sure I messed it up the way I thought, just didn't know how to fix it.

Oh and here is that lab puppy (not mine) that rolled in the pancake syrup and tried to it off by rolling in the grass, he looks so sad. ::)
