Title: Finally Got A Pair Of Schofields
Post by: Rube Burrows on August 18, 2020, 02:44:25 PM
Well I was able to finally get myself a pair of Schofields. I have wanted one of these for many years and recently found a decent deal on a pair and had the money to spend.

These are Taylor's & Company and have had action jobs. The actions are smooth as butter and im very pleased.

Hi

I beat you to the punch, shot a 92 at Muster in Precision Pistol with one of them.  Who did your action jobs?  Couldn't hurt and it might be worth the $.  I shoot .45 Schofield with 250 grain Lead Round nose.

Thanks

Cody Conagher is who done the action jobs.  I have never shot another Schofield so I cant compare them to original but I sure like these.

Finally got to get some good range time in on them this past weekend. I really like the way they shoot and the actions could not be smoother.

They will take a little getting used to though because I am so used to a Colt Navy grip. They are fun to shoot and glad to add them to my stable though.

Made myself a pair of holsters for my new Schofields.

Very nice looking holsters. I purchased a holster very similar to the ones you have made, but a lighter color. I purchased it right after I purchased my Schofield. I have the holster but no Schofield since I had to send it back for repairs. Still have not received it back yet. Hopefully sometime today, maybe.
