Title: 1871 Baby Rolling Block
Post by: Knucky McPolack on November 20, 2020, 10:38:55 AM
I thought I would share my buffalo I just got with my 1871 Baby Rolling Block 45-70 that I use for plainsman shooting. I am normally a archery hunter but I thought I would let my rolling block shoot something it was intended for in the day rather than steel. Little over a 100 yards right through the heart.  I am not a good long range shooter as a shake like crazy. Some of my cowboy shooting friends call me shakey pudding.

Well done!

When I read the title of your post, I envisioned a Baby Rolling Block like the Uberti model I had chambered in .357 magnum.

That little rifle was really a disppointment and I was glad to be rid of it. A .22 model would have been much better.

When I showed my outfitter the gun he thought it was a 22 until I showed him the cartridge. My load was a 405 gr bullet with 33 gr of 777.
