Update on Rowdy, he is a shithead.

Got him steps rigged up, showed him. Made him use them, cool.

Rita comes home and lays down, uses stairs and shows her cause he's so proud he can get on the bed by himself again.

Get done with supper, he comes in here, looks at the stairs and whines so I can pick him up and put him on the bed.

I thought that was the idea, to keep me from having to lift a 95 pound dog which is pretty much double my limit.

Made him use them.

I'll stir some coals for the early crew.

45 and sunny today, oddly enough. I was thinking spring might be here, but we're forecast for 5 more inches of snow tomorrow afternoon, so apparently not.

Got to fly today for the first time in a month (to the hour, actually. But who's counting?) Felt good.

Have a speech tomorrow for class, then a meeting with a professor to discuss an issue in the aviation program.

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are hot.

Rained last night. More to come.

Shoveling snow that fell off the shed roof so we don't get more flooding inside and get the hay and chickens wet.

'Tis 34 and overcast. "Cloudy. Areas of fog. A chance of drizzle in the morning. Drizzle likely in the afternoon. Highs in the middle 40s. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent."

Rain all last night, and more this afternoon, but the sun just now came out. Not going to do much outside this evening, ground's too squishy.

I would prefer squishy to the ice.  ::)

'Tis 40 and overcast. "Not as cool. Cloudy. A chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning  then showers likely and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Patchy fog in the morning. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. Highs in the middle 50s. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent."

Rekindled the fire and the pots are on, coffee is coming to boil once again.
Missed the chat, and hoping those in flood zones are fairing well...
Spoke to Del via phone, he told me many roads swamped and many bridges were swept away, towns with no means of travel other than air rescue....

Wondering if anyone has a bucket list ?

That is pertaining to firearms they'd like to own.

Mine has shrunken some as I have found certain ones, this weekend I ran across a major one...

LUGER  ... I wanted one since I was a kid....

It's not mine...yet !  may not be either, but it's there and maybe...???

1942 Mauser made , it is a War trophy , and the Widow of a Greatest Generation member has brought it in to my friendly FFL.
A price has yet to be negotiated, may well be beyond my reach but I remain hopeful.
