US Military Percussion Arms (photos fixed)
« on: October 04, 2015, 03:59:31 PM »
Yesterday I had my third display of a part of my US Long Arms Collection done for the Boy Scouts.  Had 18 original Percussion Arms that span from 1832 to 1864 the end of the Civil War.  These are just before the time frame for GAF but wanted to share some more photos, hope you enjoy. [Well for some reason not all the photos are oriented like they are in photo bucket, when I fixed that it made them flat looking]

Those are better than what you usually see in a museum-nice stuff! That Whitney Plymouth rifle is a serious piece of hardware! :D

Oops forgot I had not taken photos of another percussion arm, when I get a chance will get some when I'm home with daylight outside. The arm is a Sharps & Hankins model 1861 Navy Rifle breach loading percussion.  Pretty cool piece!

Well I was wrong it's actually a breach loading BP cartridge rifle use during the Civil War so the photos are posted there.

Fixed the photos so they show again.  I have another percussion to add its a colt revolving military rifle.  Once I convert to Imgur will add those photos.
