Hi
I was looking at news from Kansas and found this:
Arabia_Museum_Closing
Jon Thomas and I went there when we were in town for the Jesse James Farm match. This is a very well done museum, especially considering that it was dug up and the museum built by non-government types or archeologists.

Spent a very enjoyable afternoon there several years ago.
As a matter of fact, we lost track of time and were late for the NCOWS Congress meeting that day . . .

It pains me still; I missed out in going when I was in KC
for The NCOWS Convention years ago.
I have seen video tours, and it is quite amazing, just not the same as being there.
Hopely, the museum will find a new forever home.

I did not fail to see the NRA/Bass Pro Shops Gun Museum in Springfield, Mo. several years later NCOWs Convention.

Spent the entire day there last year.  Definitely worth the visit. I too hope they find a new home.

IF my info is correct St. Louis made them an offer they could not refuse, while KC was ambivalent about supporting it's presence.  So it is moving to St. Louis.

P.S. I have spent all or part of 4 days there and it is a magnificent time capsule to the period.  I was most amazed at the lack of firearms going up river.

I had not heard the St. Louis option.  That is excellent that it will land somewhere.   I hav hoped they will be able to excavate the Malta, but still no word on that either.   It is a great visit for sure!
