Looking for .303 British Brass
« on: April 26, 2017, 08:49:14 PM »
Gentlemen,
Since I have to keep the brass separate between my Long Lee and SMLE, I'm looking for PRVI or Remington headstamp brass.  It needs to be new so it fire forms to my chamber.  Let me know if you have some to sell or trade.

I was having case body splits with Remington cases with twice fired brass! Those chambers are generous.

Are you neck sizing only? I got the splits with full length resized cases. I have Greek HXP but haven't reloaded any yet. Supposed to be good stuff.

Yes, I only neck size with a Lee collet neck sizing die. I've got a Long Lee and an SMLE and need to keep the cases separate.  It would be much easier to do if I have two different headstamps.  The stuff I have now is Winchester.  The SMLE especially lets the shoulder move forward a lot.  Articles always say it was to deal with dirt, but I suspect it was more to deal with contract ammunition.

I have some new PPU .303 Brit brass i might be able to part with. Do you need it before the Grand Muster?

Nope.  Just thinking about next year.  How much do you have?  Did you ever get an Enfield?
