I have seen the obenufs boot dressing. I am sure it has the same ingredient as saddle butter.

Not even close. other than some bee's wax, Obenhaufs is not sheep based, dang you of all people would not use if for that reason.   ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are hot.

Dusting overnight.

'Tis 22, overcast and windy. WC 11. "Some clouds this morning will give way to generally sunny skies for the afternoon. High 38F. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph."

Gotta love KARMA  :D

I was headed home, in part the drive puts me on the Florida Turnpike ( 70 MPH )

I travel about 15 mile getting on @ Osceola Pky as I accelerate on  was was at 65 MPP with white Ford Pu about 1/2 mile back on the right hand side.
I move over to the left lane move at 70 mph ..the  yahoo is doing probably 90 closes right up so close I only can the windshield.
No grill or hood at all ... I pass a car on the right and move over all a 70...
The jerk screams by and give me the lone finger salute.....  ::)

about 8 miles later, here is Speedo Darwin , and his new acquaintance a State Trooper  ;D    I love KARMA  I could not reframe from honking and saluting the LEO

20 MPH over the limit will net him a $500 hefty fine & 3 points ..naner naner naner  :P

Afternoon y'all.
Thanks for the coffee.

Friend came over with rifles to sell. I ended up buying a 1893 Marlin in .38-55 made in 1904 and a sporterized Krag. I'll end up re-militerizing the Krag.

'Tis 39 and sunny. High of 49.

Cut some Fig stems today hoping to get them to root.  Noticed the pear tree has blossomed.  Suzanne gathered in some chickweed to make a pesto with.
I made a batch of carrot salad to go with supper this evening.

If the weather remains dry this week I may go get a few replacement chicks/pullets.

Slim always wanted a .38-55 never found what I call a deal on one.

Warm, around 60 and dry here today. One more day like that, then rain is supposed to return.

Congratulations on the "mobile gun shop" visit, Slim. I like the .38-55, got a Win '94, I believe from 1908, about 15 or so years ago. Have taken 3-4 deer with it, drops them just as fast as my .308, but not as messy to field dress. I've loaded a few cast with it several years ago, but the deer were taken with Win factory loads.
