Sounds tasty, M-2. But we're gonna meet up with my CMA chapter at noon for BBQ. (That's Christian Motorcyclists Association, not the country music guys) Since it's already 9AM, maybe just a light snack. Won't be riding today, though, since it's only supposed to get to 31 degrees.

Thanks for the Morning Coffee... rain continues...i am obeying Doctors orders and staying in and away from barn. As much as it hurts me to do so. So i made Bacon and egg sandwiches with some good Gouda cheese on toast. I didn’t even fill the kitchen with bacon frying.

Afternoon all.
After 18 hours of travel, I am safely in Anaconda, MT until Sunday morning. I haven't had anything real to eat since 3:30am yesterday, so I'm getting ready to do that.

I got some Dillon precision gift cards for Christmas and ordered a bunch of stuff, one of which was their Roller handle, I just tried it out and I wish I had bought it when I first got the 650, It feels so much smoother and less pain in my wrist using it. If you have a 550 oe 650 I can highly recomend getting it.

It is one of those pieses i thought i should order. I hardly use mine these days. I think i have it sold to a local cop, now.

Afternoon Y'all, been pouring rain since late last night, ground is so saturated it's just running off the surface, But at least I don't have to shovel it.
Went to a brand new toy store today, They have a 28 position indoor 25 yard range, carry Dillon reloading products and it turns out I know some of the employees there. Real nice place.
You can check it out here.

Major malfunction in Rita's Buick station wagon thing. Gots glitter in the oil. ::)
She's out bargaining on a 2012 Equinox thing. She wanted to take it on the highway and picked me up and went about 35 miles east on #2 and came back. Made 2 stops and I added about 25 pounds of assorted sausage to the freezer stash. ;D
-
My pard has a 2010 Equinox bought new ....only scheduled oil changes , tires & wipers swaps in approaching 200,000.
Prior to that a 95 S10 Blazer not sure the mileage, he swears by the Chevy 4 banger.
It was a trip to the NCOWS Convention in Springfield Mo. in his Equinox ,convinced me to get a Crossover myself.
-
This has the V6.
-
Glitter in the oil is not a good thing....
I see a lot of Equinox (Equinoxes?) on the road, they seem to be a good car. About the same size as our Trailblazer, but it's more of a "Car based" SUV instead of the truck chassis under the Trailblazer. Should get better mileage than the TB.

Equinii?
My parents looked at an Equinox. They ended up going with the 2010 Explorer. Wanted that truck chassis.
Last day in Anaconda. Went for a walk and helped the guy we're staying with get some progress with a project he's working on. Leaving tomorrow around noon. We'll be driving in a little bit of a snow storm, but it's only supposed to drop 3/4" in one of the passes, so it shouldn't be too exciting. Then school starts Monday.
--TK
-
She don't need a truck chassis, likely the only place it will go off road is in a driveway or parking lot.
She made them give her an extra key after they were done dealing. They offered it for cost and she said she'd walk. Manager had to go talk to his boss. Also none of the hidden fees because she pointed out Derick at our credit union was doing the title and such.
She got it for $6650 wanted $6999 and add hidden fees of several hundred.
As for the glitter that's a joke her craft stuff spreads glitter all over, mom's house has been infected since September when the made a party dress for Robin at her house, pointed it out last week.
Mom said mettalic particals were glitter.
-
Good on her... Sweet ride and the V6 has better legs over the 4 popper. I'd suggest a Trans fluid change.
46° and clear
FFL had a consigned Iver Johnson 44 Mag. Cattleman & what appeared to be a nicely made black Buscadero rig with buffalo head nickle Concho's.
He told me the dreamer wanted $700 :o , seriously ! IVER JOHNSON Cattleman is a 1973-78 Uberti. (US assembled & finished)
It is obvious the guy not only is dreamer, but a moron too, as he has stored the gun in the holster rig, sadly there is finish damage on the cylinder and barrel from years of contact...
Ted (FFL) asked me what I thought.... I said "unless the the holster had $500 worth of nickles on it " ? ::) cause the Revolver
was maybe $200 , 250 tops ...w/ that finished damage.
Ted said "the guy was not to pleased with my appraisal"...

She came back from the 11 month trip in early Dec. She went to 11 countries. Haiti, DR, Thailand, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Nepal, Malaysia, etc.
Spent 5.5 hours on the road today. She should be landing in Atlanta in about an hour.

Slim a couple years back one of our young ladies from our church went on the “World Race” 11 countries 11 months. Her Mother would report progress every week at the fellowship. Her parents were full of prasies when she returned. I don’t think she was home 3 months and went to south america or the likes. She now works full time in Alanta with the World Race organization. Her calling to fulfill the Missionary duties has led to bigger opportunities. We here will keep your daughter in prayer.

Didn't get much sleep the last couple nights. Cold is coming back, so I'm staying home and go back to bed.
Got 1/2" of wet snow last night and it turned to rain. Got slush and ice.
'Tis 31 and rain. "Rain. Highs in the lower 40s. South wind 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 35 mph shifting to the southwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain near 100 percent."

I've a lot of admiration those whom answer the call.... I had girlfriend in High School that joined the Peace Corp.
She, served in Ganta, Liberia for several years 68-72 or 73 maybe .
I lost touch with her, heard she was in Indonesia at some point from her cousin :-\
Nearly 50 years ago, I think of her ever so often and wonder what if...

Had some nice days here, clear and sunny yesterday and today. near 60 yesterday, 50 today. Trend continues, supposed to be 40 tomorrow. Bought a log splitter from a widow lady at church yesterday, and split 2/3 of a truckload of wood in just a little while aftyer work. Been heating with wood for better than 30 years, never owned one before. MAybe less time splitting can make more range time.....

Now we call a guy and he brings a load to the house and stacks it. $100. No saws to maintain no axs mauls and wedges, no sore backs. Of course we are still burning from last years load.

I just put a pair of ‘8’ balls on my 2 Dillon 550s. The bigger ball feels better than the original one but I have big hands. Stay warm.

Catfish hush puppies and onion rings from the little fryer. Our breading mix on the fish. Slaw and homemade tarter sauce. Yum 😋
-
Mmmmmmmmmmm! now you're talking :D fingerlings or boneless ?
throw in a bowl of cheese grits & an order of fried green tomatos and it's near heaven on a plate.
Course, there are folks that might not agree, :-\ but they ain't never tried it ! ;)

Major2 they were boneless filets. Local market had them on sale. We bought enough for a couple meals. The onion rings were remainders from another time. Since the fryer was out. The slaw i made. The trick is to let it narinade awhile before eating. Will keep grits in mine for next batch.
Sunny and 41 i think rain is suppose to return tomorrow
Thanks for the coffee Slim.

"SHE" bought a big bag of Tilapia fillets at Sam's, I was skeptical .... but they're wern't bad.
Pull out the 'lectric blanket last night, may use it again tonight :-\
-
Our high today was 28 degrees the low will be 17 degrees sometime early tomorrow morning, Sunday & Mondat the low is supposed to be 13 and that's not including the wind chill which makes it feel like 14 degrees right now.
-
Sn*w-mageddon predicted here. Or maybe just a couple of inches. First measurable sn*w of the year, so it's a for sure disaster. Unless it's not. Definitely not as nice as the sunny weather the last several days. Barely below freezing, so it's a wet sloppy sn*w.
-
Evening all.
Hit a balmy 35 degrees in good old Billings today. Currently freezing, with wind to 25. Clear night, so it'll probably be cold by morning.
The first week of class has gone bumpily enough to last me the rest of the year. Had to reschedule 3 classes, buy a new textbook, and pay an extra $100 of tuition that came out of nowhere. I also have a job working on campus in the security department. Unfortunately, I won't see any money from that because it's all for direct deposit to my tuition.

2nd egg in the Berry College Nest tonight. Thinking she’ll harch around Feb 12-14

Been snowing since 6, not supposed to start till after midnight. ;D
Couple or 3 here at home, at least 4 across town at work.
Slicker than snot, locked in and took off in second and drove in 3rd and had no trouble. Saw one ahead hit the curb on a down hill, one almost sidewaysed in my lane on the up hill and saw one slide through the light.
Glad I have good tires a 4wd and a stick.
People been trying to convince me for over years slush boxes are better, still ain't. Hope I can find another when I have to.
-
Must be a slow morning - i’ll get the afternoon tea on the boil... ::)
Looks like everyone winter weather is settling in here.
-
Snowmaggeddon failed to happen here. An inch or 2 was all, and from my front door, the roads appear to have melted off, and grass is poking through. But all wet and sloppy outside, so probably a mostly indoors weekend. Hmm... Reloading? Casting?
-
You guys got me goin’ on a deep fried (artery hardening) menu for last night. Moved the spaghetti to tonight. Did batter dipped catfish fillets, batter dipped deep fried onion rings, and hush puppies with onion and Jalapeno peppers (something we used to get at Valley Fort Bayou Inn in Fallbrook Ca just outside of Oceanside. Turned out fine. Sorry Major, but no grits or green ‘matters.

Had it at the church in the gym, and then finished cleaning the church for the week, before service tomorrow. (Wife is the church cleaner). Got 3 boxes of Casey's Pizza left if anyone wants a slice.

They were from a Take out chain called Marco's, I think it's nationwide, just my second time trying them, don't normally care for the big chains....
not a fan of Deep Dish either.

Neighbor woman called my wife at 10:30 last evening. Said she was calling fior their dog and one of the Kids starting crying. Suzanne bundked up and went to the barn, found one of the bottle babies begging for another bottle. So she made up and fed it. Late nite here for us

25 degrees and sunny so far today. There's a pretty good breeze from the north, which puts a good chill to the air.
Longer day today. Three classes, but I'm done at 2. Then I work tonight from 8-1. But, I get $41 out of the deal, so I guess there is that.

I like this, seen similar, but a bit too crude to post here.
-
Off again Thursday, was out running including supper at our favorite place just down the street. Had a gift card, run by hipster types but smart ones who know food. ;D
I had the seafood platter, Rita had a T-bone. Mentioned the one in the freezer, she thought we should get another for Thursday. Decided I wanted pot roast and have leftovers for samwhices for after work suppers to go with the sourdough. Swedish rye I baked.
Any way went to buy a hunk of cow and the dang Charles roast they wanted $4.98 a point for, optited for top round at $2.98 a pound. See smoked chuck roast is the new Yuppie trend on their fancy Treger things so between that and the popularity of flat iron steak and top round not being hip, I get better cuts for less.
Sobs around here are catching on and calling sirloin roast tri tip like out in Call land so people will pay more for it. ::)
-
Was given a Traeger smoker and have used it a few times, Ribs mostly .... pork chops, and a turkey once, even tried shrimp.
the fact that I had one to use, and the novel idea of it sorta wore off....haven't used it in maybe year. :-\
Kinda glad I didn't pay for it, they are $-proud of them, even the little 20# bag of pellets is $20-22 bucks.

Weatherheads are predicting bad weather this coming week.
Shelves are empting at Walmart and Publix.
M2 i am glad you were gifted it to after seeing the prices on them.

It one thing I would not have bought myself , given they are north of $450 on up to Grand ! :o
But, they (my Crew) gave me one as a honorarium as it were...and I'm grateful :)
Thanks for the coffee....I had BIG ol 24oz cup of Colombian from WAWA's , was tempted to try the new Kenyan blend , but afraid it may be blended out a monkey's butt....
Seriously, there is a coffee bean harvested after cycled through an Indonesian Monkey's Digestive System....
-
Civit cat, not monkey.
Kenya is my favorite, blends only have to be 10%. The good Kenya AA runs about $15 a pound at our local roaster.
Wife got me a pound in December for my birthday.
May have to pick up a pound, got to run there and get some green coffee. Doing a lecture for a group next Wendsday on Civil War rations.
-
Things that make you say WTH.
Rita bought a package of socks last night with out looking closely.
None the same, yep it's a trend to go with jeans with big holes in them and wearing t shirts inside out and backwards.💩💩💩💩💩
-
Civit cat or monkey either one i will pass. $15 a pound is not the most expensive blend .
Major Bass Pro here has those Trager Smokers- your crew must like you.
-
Kenya AA is what WAWA has.... I'll give it a try
-
Evening all.
35 was our high today. Supposed to get down to 21 tonight, plus wind. Which is great because I'm working outside until 1am.
I got to find yesterday. Wasn't my best flight, but for not having seen the inside of an Archer in 6 weeks t wasn't bad.

-
Civit cat or monkey either one i will pass. $15 a pound is not the most expensive blend .
I pay that for straight run beans, not blend.
Kind like drinking a single malt Scotch or single barrel Bourbon. Every batch is different but similar.
Most times I pay $8.99 a pound for bulk beans at the grocery store from another roaster that just does wholesale.

told him the tale , and he asked me if I retrieved IT ! :o " it was his plan to reinstall it rather than do another temp !
I guess he got his Diploma at.... Clyde's Auto Recycle and School of half ass Dentistry :-\
Told him the same.....NO WAY in he!! !

31 years of Marital Bliss celebrated yesterday , Da boss lady & I went to quaint Italian Ristorante and share a huge Calzone
enough for my lunch today
Dang thing was 24" long ::)

Afternoon all. I think I'll pass on the used coffee beans, as well. I prefer to be the first person to consume my food.
Currently 22 degrees, wind to 2, plus some occasional flurries of white stuff.. At least that's above zero. Barely. Went to the gym this morning and did some running and basic body weight stuff - push-ups, squats, etc. It was 8 degrees then, so I guess it's improved somewhat.
Congratulations Major.

Try Celebes some time, island in the East Indies. Decent flavor not my favorite for taste. Will have you climbing walls if you drink too much. Kindalike a liquid West Coast turn around. :o

Going snowshoeing in Yellowstone tomorrow. That should be interesting, at least.
On my annual trips to Sturgis, SD I would either end up in Yellowstone NP or Glacier NP. Sometimes I'd drive from Billings, Montana to Yellowstone NP thru Red Lodge via the Beartooth Highway. Sometimes I would drive from Cody, Wyoming to Yellowstone NP via the Chief Joseph Highway. Both were awesome rides.
When going thru Cody, I would always visit the Buffalo Bill Museum:

Del..... use to work with a guy from Peru , every Christmas to New Year he'd go home , when he returned he'd bring a pound of Peruvian Mountain Grown.... Darkest blackest grind I've ever seen ... and very tasty.
I like dark strong coffee ....stuff like the store box brands , Maxwell House , Folgers , or most restaurants servings not so much and usually pass up.
I do like Dunkin Donut coffee though

All frozen here, 13, high of 28, but the sun's shining for the first time in a week. Of course, this is the time that the wife's Trailblazer decided to melt down ANOTHER heater motor resistor. I think it's up to 5 since I bought it. Seems to be the only flaw in this car.
Warming up the dirtball, AKA the mail route car to go to Church.

Kinda uncanny how I started the collection :-\
I happen into my FFL some time back, and he had a 1893 Berthier Artillery Carbine some guy needed to sell...it followed, I found an Adrian Helmet...
I Got the Model 1917 Eddystone and the Brodie & a M17 Stahlhelm
I was given the Luftschutz, so it seemed right to expand to WW2 - US M1, Soviet M39 & Heer M40 followed.
That go well with the Surrendered Beretta side arm
Helmets all hang in reloading room.
Just when I figure I'm done, another turns up

Coffee's on, well it is on over @ WAWA's :P
And I'll stop for a $1 any size cup on the way into the work 20....

*Front of house Entry door way will be a complete change out to a Craftsman design with glass.

*Fresh paint & color change in my Den & carpet
*rear French door to the porch & pool will be freshly painted....
Expect it to get real & pricey, though we have contracted budgeted well.....

Shouldn't be hard to change, at least if it doesn't(Didn't) have A/C. Had to change the one in my '76 last year. Just reach under the hood and change it. Hardest part was getting the squirrel cage off the old one.

Currently 27 and sn*wing. Have 11 inches on the ground, and it's not supposed to stop for 5 more hours. I have to work in this tonight. I think I should get hardship pay, especially since I'm making less than minimum wage. I don't think the boss agrees.

I found a few in research, thank you though... a cherokee chataw thing- using Muschadines as i suspected and corn flour as i also suspected. Suzanne is going to try and recreate it.
Coffee is up.
Sunny but fridged cold for the region
The last of the Kids survived the trip to the Vet yesterday. Only one single horn on the farm. Mistake by the previous farm.
Came home and i heard the neighbirs chickes in a ruckus. A few minutes later a woman pulls in the drive asking if we seen her dog. I told her check with neighbor. She looked in our field and went home. Little bit later our neighbor cane to see Suzanne and told her that dog killed 2 of her hens. So one dog leaves the neighborhood and another moves in.

Nope, and up north the Lutheran's are still celebrating. ;D
Took Rowdy to the vet today. One of his lumps has opened up and has been bleeding.
Took blood and other tests today, vet thinks he can handle surgery if tests come back ok.
If so they are going to remove it Thursday, not going to do a biopsy, if it is cancer will hope that takes care of it. Few ever survive chemo and at almost 13 it makes no sense.
No matter what he is getting old, made what I think are right for final plans, wife agrees.
Sounds strange but will have him creamated and I will scatter his ashes behind the garage, where he tries to hide so I won't make him come back in. ;)

Heater fan stopped on the Beast. Called the mechanic who is changing the oil and fixing the the heater fan on the Suburban. He tapped on the heater fan and it started. He is going to drill a hole in the end and put a couple drops of oil in it. I'm going out in a bit to tap on the Beast's heater fan.

Got the Beast's heater fan working by tapping on it.
Put the battery in the daughter's car and it started. It appears to be the factory battery; 2012. We'll see if it keeps working.
Went up and down the driveway with the Beast to pack it down some so the 2WD cars might get out, since the tractor is at the mechanic's getting new back tires and rims.

Tapping on it might work for a while, like tapping on a starter motor can. Eventually on my farm truck, it would still run, but not without squalling.
Having some internal issues, vampire drained me this morning, and this afternoon, if they can schedule it, I get to drink some dye so thy can scan my innards.
