Hi Ned

If they had two with consecutive serial numbers I might be interested.  All Cowboys gotta have one on each side...    ;D ;D ;D

I’ve shot my Fosbery target model at ECSASS, my progressive WASA/SASS club’s monthly match and its kinda like shooting a 1911 in that you have to cycle it for the first rd, fire it and then not wanting to drop the hammer on nothing I lowered the hammer and holstered. Not particularly fast but certainly neat. Had a miss on the first stage as the single action W-F vs double action of my MkIV surprised me. Didn’t have any other misses though. It definitely has a totally different recoil impulse. A truly unique automatic revolver—revolving automatic?  I was lucky to have been able to get my grail gun [didn’t pay that much btw].

Put one of these on layaway awhile back with a very nice and understanding seller.  It was less than the GB offering but still enough to make my nether regions ache.  Saved cash and sold seven guns over several months and just sent him the final check.  Why?  Because I have always wanted one and I'm not getting any younger.  Should be here in a week and I cannot wait!!

Thanks Ed!  A little fantasy of a Post 1902 western Webley Fosbery.  Never seen a photo from the West of one like this but who knows.  By all accounts there were a few Brits roaming about.

Very nice. I always liked the bowler but don’t look good in one. I do look ok in a top hat though. Sharp revolver. You know that Floyd Thursby and Zardoz both carried Fosberys.

Thanks Ed!  The bowler in the photo is a Stetson that dates to about 1900. I find the early ones like this look better on me than the later ones or reproductions.  I am not sure why since all bowlers Appear to be the same.
There was also a Fosbery used by Robert Patterson's character in the film "The Lost City of Z" to shoot a mutineer's ear off.   I am surprised they aren't in more period films.
