Not my Cuppa.  Close but not quite.  Whom ever put it together should not have cut the Fore End down.  Also way short magazine.  Kinda nifty though.  I think it was originally put together to be a sort of "Trapper."

Scrubby it definitely stand's out from the run of the mill 73 . I noticed over the yr's the majority of firearms that had been Native American owned have been altered / customized or cut-down in some way or another .  Most look like they were personalized to suite the owner .  I have seen many guns of all kinds with rawhide wrap , beads , tacks ect .Would be a cool thread to start  ( Show the Native American altered guns )  ,,DT

Definitely. Reverence for common objects leads to a different sort of care. I also get fascinated by the art that evolved in a mind believing inanimate objects actually posess will and desire. It was a loss, that the two "trade rifles" passed down to me spent some time buried beside the cabin of the last owner. According to my grandfather, there were still some remnants of blanket and wood stuck to the iron, but no one cared to photograph or catalogue the recovery. 1972...
