Thanks to you all for helping me pick a new shotgun!

I just traded today for a Stoeger 12 Gauge Coach Gun. The blued with double triggers, this one has some good looking walnut on it too. Saw where several folks have posted about them and I think I will like the beastie.

Hit the range with the beastie today. Yeah it's a light 12 Gauge! Ran about half a box of light field loads through it and worked perfectly, drops the hulls like it should. Not at all fancy, but it will keep school! Also, ran another box of 16s through a Remington Model 11 I picked up for Zoot Shooting.

Bought my wife one and had a bud slick it up. The shells fall right out and it opens/cocks with just the weight of the bbls. My stock is starting to crack at the action but I never use it preferring my Marlin or Winchester pumps. Too slow for my tastes but a very good sg.

Which marlin pump?

They?re good sgs. I?ve got several but my favorite is a Model 24 12 ga but my scaled down 20 ga Model 30 is a real sweetheart. Shoots like a rifle. My enlightened cas WASA-SASS club ECSASS allows them. They got a bum wrap imo, with cas loads and all the internal safeties operating they are fine. The WB lawyered up is all. Heard of and seen 3 guns let go over the years, a gross overload blew a 3rd gen Colt sa and 2 Henry repros with mag detonations but reloads and Henry style winchesters are still legal. Here?s one I put together for our 2 inch snubnose matches and I go pinstripe gangster.
