Not quite sure what I have here,
An acquaintance of mine, actually a client , is seriously in to knife making.
He belongs to the Guild and has visited Gil Hibben, taken his class and worked in his shop under supervision.

So he stops by my office , and hands me a cloth roll ...inside is this beauty ....

Roach belly for sure, not sure what to call the ripple steel finish , the grip is exotic wood and copper pinned ...
Shaving razor sharp carbon steel...

I LIKE IT .....
when planets align...do the deal !

Looks real primitive, almost like a flint blade. Very interesting for sure, and I bet it is great in the kitchen.

Be careful to clean it thoroughly after kitchen use. Any indentation will hold corrosive stuff. Mind you, kitchen use is the only honest way to "age" a blade.

will do Sir C...it is a lot smoother to the touch that the photo reveals
