I was at an estate sale 2 weeks ago where the gentleman who passed away had over 400 guns. He had a couple of Chaparral 76's. One in 45-60, and the other was a 50-95. While both functioned okay, the 50-95 was a much better quality gun. Unfortunately like so many auctions that involve firearms The feeding frenzy gets pretty intense and both went for more than what you could buy new ones for. I would have liked to have gotten the 50-95 since I already shoot 50-70 and 50-90 Sharps. Two more of my guns I need to dig out and get shooting again.

FYI: Starline has .50-110, .50 Alaskan and .348 brass back in stock. I received an email from them yesterday about when I attempted to order in January. I have made .45-75 WCF from .50-110 and .50 Alaskan. In fact I am writing this from the range after shooting some I made from each. 350g BACO bullet over .25.1g of 5744 with a Winchester large rifle primer. 3 and three quarter to four inch 5 shot groups when I can make my old bifocal eyes work, and the recoil doesn't beat me up. It's summer here in the Indian Territory, mid ninety's and high humidity. Anyone else shooting recently?

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.
