It looks stainless and a good deal, even if the bore is pitted, it will drop a bear.

I haven't shot it,got it fom a feller that got it for his boy and he shot it a bit and had it in a closet for awhile,i just cleaned it up.I put a little flaslight down the barrel and i don't see any pitting,had a touch of surface rust but it cleaned out.It does have a brass buttplate just haven't put it back on yet and it's a smidge wider than the wood,thought about putting a better fit on it,but i'm too afraid to mess it up.Sellin it to buy more leather I really don't know much about this style,i have a 45 Kentucky that i like just fine and a blast to shoot when i go to the mountains,easy on me as there's no recoil..

I'll put it on the classified shere in a bit,i wanted to get some opinion on it from those who know more.

If ya all are headin out elk huntin with with muzzle loaders then deal me in! My 54 caliber Hawkens ain't been in the woods since 1995. But she's taken a few deer in her time! 

That's a heck of a buy there Rick. You should hang on to it! At least shoot it first. It is a percussion, and not a flintlock right? ( Can't see the lock so I assume it is a percussion. ) I want' to see pics of the Kentucky you have Rick!!!!
