First post. Just found out about this sight.
I use an Original 3 Digit serial number76 made, shipped 1877,  1876 in 45-75 Winchester. I’ll have to figure out posting pictures.

PLEASE sign me up! I’ve gone waaay overboard for the 1876 replicas! If I had any sense I woulda concentrated all that on a nice original 45-60!!! ( I do feel like I should serve some sort of apprenticeship on a replaceable platform….)

Hello,

New guy here, not new to guns or cowboy guns but to this forum. I just bought a Uberti 1876 45-60 "Tom Horn" rifle.. the 1876 s a long time dream rifle of mine, so nice to finally have one. Sadly, I have the 45-60 model... What I really want is the Same gun in the 45-75 but hopefully one day someone will trade with me :o)

Nice forum you have here, been reading a lot. I also have a awesome 45-75 die set from Buffalo arms but can't load till I get the 45-75 version! Nice to meet everyone. I'm in Oregon

Beautiful rifle. In case you were not aware, the Tom Horn model only comes in 45/60. So if your looking for one in 45/75, your gonna have to get one in regular version. Which I think look better anyway!

Hello!,

Thanks for your reply... I agree! The "regular color case" ones are sexy! I mostly want the regular one because I'm obsessed with 45-75 but gladly took what I can get in this awesome 45-60... so hopefully one day I can find someone who wants to trade me for a 45-75 for ease of reloading or whatever.

If I get "stuck" with this one I will likely send it to the best gun smith ever I know and have it color cased.. Been reading of 45-75 and Teddy Roosevelt since a child, feel like to have this baby for sure. I love my Marlins, but wow this specific Uberti is smooth as glass... my first Uberti.. wondering if they are all this nice. I haven't gotten to shoot it yet, quite anxious..

I even found a original new old stock 1970s vintage gun case for this, orange and off white brown vinyl with orange lining, hard plastic handles totally nostalgic thats fits perfectly..

Do you have one of these 1876 rifles?

WOW! Medallion,

You have 3!? Wonderful... absolutely beautiful examples... Please tell me, which round is your favorite and why? Or better yet... what is your favorite round for what... ie close work 50-90, 45-75 for distance? I'm super curious... I've never spoken to anyone who has experience with all 3 before!

I've always wanted the 45-75 but, for reloading purposes 45-60 is super convenient, love color case but I plan to hunt a lot and it will fade. Wish I could afford 2 or 3, but still tickled I managed to get one..

Thanks in advance!
