Has anyone ever used or are using a NOE Bullet Mold Company 454-241-RF-AC3 bullet? I always was intending to buy a Dick Dastardly big lube PRS 45 caliber bullet mold. Waited too long now they are no longer available new and can't find any used for sale. NOE has the bullet mold available that they advise in the description as great for black or smokeless powder. From the schematic and pictures of the mold/bullet it appears to have a 'big lube' similar to Dicks.

Just got off the phone with a NOE guy and he advised they sell alot of them to 45 Colt black powder shooters and have never had any complaints. Compared what NOE has in their measurements with a Mav Dutchman 44 Big Lube bullet and taking those measurements and accounting for a bigger 45 bullet, it appears the NOE bullet would be similar to a PRS 45 Big Lube. Any feedback be appreciated. Available in 2-3-4 and 5 cavity molds.

I'd be interested in buying a PRS 45 big lube mold if someone has one they'd like to part with.

I like the Lyman/Ideal 454424 Kieth SWC, the old version with the square lube grooves. The newer ones are rounded lube grooves and don't hold as much lube. Got mine off ebay.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

Drydock

Accurate makes some excellent deep groove designs.

I've always heard that Accurate makes real quality molds and those that have them have very good reviews on them. I did check out Accurate's website in my search and again after Drydock posted. Their site takes some real careful study as for example for 45 bullets they have around five pages of various designs and weights for 45 molds, each page having up to 100 molds of different designs and weights, nice selection though. When I finally found the approximate 250 grain design flat roundnose style I'm interested in, they did have one that they state works well for 45 Colt black powder. In comparing it with the NOE bullet mold I've been looking at it is a similar design, but the single main grease groove isn't as deep as NOE's and it is around $105 in cost. NOE's are 20% off until July 7th so I can get a $93 some dollar double cavity for around $74. The 3 cavity is around $6 more, also offered in 4 and 5 cavity. None of Accurate's available 45 molds had as large of a grease of a groove found on the NOE mold which as I stated in my original post that closely compares to Dick's Big Lube PRS 45 Colt mold. Close, but not as deep. Might get NOE's unless I hear adverse review's.

Crow Choker, the NOE mold looks like it would be good for bp. I was not aware of this mold so I am glad you brought it up. I just may buy one.
