Been using chip mccormick mags for matches. All of my1911s run them. The most pricy 1911 I’ve got is one of the Colt WW1 1911 reissues. Nice authentic looking pistol but it has a lot of very sharp edges that will cut you. I’ve stopped using it for that reason years ago. Lately been using an older Thompson Auto Ordnance or my Cimarron Rock Island.

Not trying to stir the pot here....

I own a LOT of 1911's. Seven are Springfields.

Mine is a Kimber. It's very reliable - no failures to fire ever in thousands of rounds, mostly my reloads. And accurate - very.
