Posting Pictures
« on: October 16, 2022, 01:35:19 PM »
I routinely visit 6 or 7 firearms related forums and can post pictures/images on all of them except CAScity.com.  Here it always says "image too large" or some such.  Call me stupid (when it comes to computers I am) but I have no idea how to reduce the size of pictures down loaded from my camera to my old desk-top iMac.  Why is it only CAScity.com requires smaller pictures than the other forums?  Inquiring minds want to know.  (smile)

Dave T,

I can post images in threads and then all of a sudden get that same message. After posting several images.

Someone will be along with a suggestion to help you, probably saying use a hosting site or similar.

Best of luck,

Kevin

 :(  Ah well  :(

You see, I don't use my iPhone to surf ANY site.  It's a phone.  I also find it is a real PITA having to jump through hoops just to post a picture.  I have in my sordid past, shipped my prize photo to a friend who can post photo easily, and he has been kind enough to add my photo to which ever thread I have interest in.

I do admit to being somewhat of a Luddite.  Proudly, I might add.

Marshal, I'll try that picresize.com thing later...going to the range this morning.

Coffin, I not only don't have an iPhone, I don't have a smart phone of any kind or vintage.  My old flip-phone makes and receives phone calls for emergencies and that's it.  And, no social media at all.  I proudly think of myself as a 21st Century Luddite.  (smile)
