Italian sausage supper
« on: February 10, 2006, 09:48:59 PM »
After my tirade about not being able to find sausages, a Wisconsin pard sent me Johnsonville Italian sausage, maple sausage, and original breakfast links.

First report:

Heat 4 Johnsnville Italian sausages in a frying pan per instructions on the bag. Set aside to drain. Cut into 1" chunks.

Put enough tomato paste to coat the sausages with a thin layer in a frying pan.

Add yellow onion, green pepper, garlic, fresh mushrooms, a bit more Italian seasoning, a tad of butter, and olive oil.

Heat until it starts to boil at the edges, reduce the heat.

Dump in the sausage and reheat the whole thing.

Side it with bread and cheesy scalloped potatoes.

GooooooooooD eatin'!!!

Best meal I've had in weeks.

(Need a smiley for over stuffed and sleepy.)
