Good evening gents,
I’ve been spending a fair amount of time in the leather shop lately, the nice cool fall days have made it a pure pleasure to just sit outside and breath. Pattern making is not my favorite activity, not by a long shot, but I convinced myself to finally make a Cheyenne pattern and a 1911 Double Loop pattern. Here is what followed, the 1911 pattern I’m relatively happy with, the Cheyenne just seems a bit off. In my minds eye it’s a bit to “fat” for lack of a better word. I think I can bring the stitched edge in a bit and fix the issue. Either way, it’s always worth the aggravation of pattern making when you get a holster that you’re pleased with.
These were made with 9-10oz Wickett & Craig, Stitched with linen thread waxed with coad, and finished with olive oil.
Hope all of you are doing well, and God Bless!
Ethan
