 My main spring had the same problem " to short " would work out ,, setting it back deep made levering hard ,, wrapped a wet rag around the spring and Tig'd a longer piece on the back end , then grnd. to OAL ,, thinned & polished ( try & fit ) ,, HAPPY , HAPPY .
