Extractor for 1851 Sharps

 I have recently acquired an 1851 Sharps carbine that was converted to 50-90. Very nice condition with a good bore. The extractor is missing however. I am wondering about an extractor from a newer Sharps , such as a Shiloh. Anyone have any experience with this ? Just wondering if one would fit. Thanks
