And the hot new rifle in "Battlefield 1" is a Vetterli?  It is cool to watch the reloads!

Mail Carrier was good to me today. 20 pieces 10.4 X47 from the guy on Etsy. Website said "1 item remaining", so I didn't wait. Next payday-brass to make 11X59R for the Gras. I see only one small problem-less than one full can of 2F Goex in the powder cabinet. Will have to either make a road trip, or bite the bullet and pay the Hazmat to get some more.

I just got the new Vetterli Book by Robert Wilsey.  Great read.  Did you know they did 24" barreled TS Vetterli Carbines?  I think your gun would be perfect for that.  Single barrel band and a rifle nose cap.

I didn't know about the T/S rifles. But did they make any with the Vitale Magazine? I have read that, while they did make some Cavalry Carbines with the repeater conversion, it was only a very small number, something like 400, just for one unit.

If they did make a repeater T/S, I may just have to try and find a cheap 6.5 Vetterli stock to make an imitation one.

While they only did 500 or so Vitali Cavalry carbines, almost all the TS carbines were converted to the Vitali magazine, as well as new ones made.  Very popular weapon in the colonies.

I don't have a choice. I'm not aware of anywhere in a 3hr radius of me that sells BP. I pay haz-mat  :-\

Nope, I wasn't working yesterday! And I'm not on my own route anyway.

Made up some more Trailboss loads with my new brass, to fire form them. Didn't have enough "good" bullets on hand, so I used some pretty questionable rejects I had set aside to re melt. Was loosing daylight fast.  Shot OK at 50 yards, but low and about 6" left. About 3-4" group. Not sure how the sights were originally mounted, but it appears whoever shortened the barrel re-mounted the sight in a very shallow dovetail, then soldered. No windage available. Will try some different loads to see if any come closer to center.
