I have removed LOTS of those screws and none of them came out that easy.

Yeah, he edited out the part where he used the hammer and torque wrench to loosen the screw the first time.

I too am calling BS on that way working if that was a new rifle.

However I have taken a piece of leather to protect the finish and squeezed the springs with vice grips to take the bind off of the screw and they come out pretty easy that way.

Generally impact driver and hammer is the quick easy way without damaging anything.
